Dear Dominique, thanks for your guidance. I clearly see the problem/task. I think I may free up some time on the next week for this job. I only have one question left to be answered: Where can I get existing branding design for OpenSUSE 11.1? I guess changing the SLED text to Opensuse is not enough. (If I'd use 11.1, I guess I could find it, but I'm still on OpenSUSE 11.0) I did not find any SVN links on the Wiki for the Artwork things. Also, I do not know the name of the Fonts that appear on the splash screens, and in every OpenSUSE artwork. Thanks again, and sorry for being such a trainee. Gregory Dominique Leuenberger wrote:

I'm pretty new in the OpenSuse community, but if someone can help me with this "branding" or point me to a document that describes what do you mean by that I am eager to help.

Gregory,
thanks for your offer. A branding' package is basically only a replacement of graphics (and in some cases texts). For this specific case, when you use rdesktop to rdp to a openSUSE 11.1 machine, you're presented with the screen as shown on http://en.opensuse.org/Image:Screenshot-rdesktop_-_localhost.png
As you can see, the information is 'slightly' wrong: The screen actually says SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop Remote desktop Connection
even though I'm connecting to an openSUSE system (visible in the remaining logos on the screen).
The bugreport https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=442290, deals with this issue, but the developers resources are limited and (obviously) focused on higher priorities (like not being able to login to RDP after connection established ;) )
For this reason the 'call for help' to the community: we should be able to provide a login screen stating that we connect to an openSUSE system, still fitting the entire look and feel.
