[opensuse-arm] armv5 images
Hi, would it be possible to enable JeOS image creation for armv5 so that we can have a rootfs for armv5 targets? I should receive my Raspberry Pi this week and I would like to test openSUSE armv5el on it. I have enable it, but there are currently too many packages not available: images armv5el unresolvable: nothing provides qemu-linux-user-arm nothing provides ifplugd nothing provides iputils nothing provides vim nothing provides lvm2 nothing provides filesystem nothing provides glibc-locale nothing provides cracklib-dict-full nothing provides module-init-tools nothing provides kbd nothing provides aaa_base nothing provides hwinfo nothing provides procps nothing provides sysconfig nothing provides pwdutils nothing provides openssh nothing provides dhcpcd nothing provides insserv nothing provides polkit nothing provides netcfg nothing provides rpcbind nothing provides mkinitrd nothing provides rpm nothing provides rsyslog nothing provides systemd-sysvinit nothing provides u-boot-tools nothing provides less nothing provides zypper nothing provides gcc nothing provides gcc47 nothing provides glibc nothing provides tar nothing provides patch
Cheers,
Guillaume

I have enable it, but there are currently too many packages not available:
After setting it up properly, that are just these now: unresolvable: nothing provides qemu-linux-user-arm, nothing provides ifplugd, nothing provides module-init-tools, nothing provides modutils needed by mkinitrd, nothing provides libsolv-tools = 0.0.0 needed by libzypp, nothing provides pinentry needed by gpg2 -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks.

Oh, it is already better! ;) Most of those deps are sheduled or blocked, so we have to wait to have more packages built. Guillaume -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

That would indicate that libzypp hasn't built in weeks though. According to my armv7l -> armv7hl upgrade research it needs 0.1.0 now. A quick look at the armv5el Monitor confirms that it has unresolvable dependencies: graphviz, libboost_* and libicu*. I guess the first reasonable step to have a working armv5 build would be to properly port qemu-accel over. Otherwise the build will take months to complete, which means it never will, as factory updates faster than that :).
