[opensuse-arm] Leap/Tumbleweed installation on RPi3
Hi guys! Quick question before wasting my time by trying it: is it possible to install Leap/Tumbleweed on a RPi3 using the ISO directly (like a "normal" PC)? By ISO I mean with PXE or USB key (as RPi3 can boot on USB). Using the image is good but I would like to try a custom installation. -- Loic Devulder - Senior QA Engineer email: ldevulder@suse.de Cloud & Storage Solutions Quality Assurance team (qa-css) SUSE LINUX GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg GF: F. It's on the list of things we're trying to work towards, but it's not turn-key working today yet. In theory as long as you fetch U-Boot from PXE using the built-in PXE support on the system, you should be able to treat it like any other UEFI system which means installation *should* work. Just give it a try :) Alex -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
Thanks Alex, I will try as soon as I will have time :-) I already tried some months ago with USB boot, I was able to start the OS but was not able to start YaST installer. This is why I asked before retrying it: if the answer was: "impossible" it would have cut-off my tests. On 09/07/2017 02:36 PM, Alexander Graf wrote:
