[opensuse-arm] Update ARM configs
Hi, I would like to update the ARM configs (12.2 branch and factory) to match the latest sources version. Are there some config options you are missing? Is it OK if I enable Smartreflex (voltage adjustment) on OMAP for 12.2? (Already enabled on master branch). Cheers, Guillaume -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

CONFIG_PANDA_NOCRASH=y would be nice :)

Sure :) Alex

Didn't you do something like this with your CONFIG_OMAP_TPS6236X? ;) You have still instability problems with pandaboards and/or beagleboards?

Beagle is stable by now, but the pandas are still constantly crashing ... Alex -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

Upstream u-boot fails for me. When I use the old x-loader and linaro u-boot we used to use for a while now, everything's fine. With upstream u-boot (and SPL), I get segfaults all over the place early in the initrd. Ok. Too bad since upstream should be the best choice... :( When I will have time (not for the next days/weeks), I will try to find what could be the problem with upstream. That would be awesome! All the bits are in place. You can just osc co u-boot, then modify the generation script to include "omap3beagle" again and execute it. That should give you a spec file which should do everything just right for beagle. Hi Guillaume, forgive me my ignorance, what do you mean by "latest sources version"? the default config in the upstream git? Or the one from linaro..? I just spend some time today in diffing the configs for 12.2 with the linaro tree and found some interesting options that we were missing, now merged.

I see it also enabled on 12.2 already. Thanks, Dirk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

"latest sources version" refers to linux kernel version used by openSUSE (for 12.2 branch and master). And the config is the kernel config file used by openSUSE to build the kernel; for each supported board.

I can only see one patch from you where you added CONFIG_USB_RTL8150. Are there more missing options?

Yes, because my patch was sent and included before you looked at it. :) Cheers, Guillaume -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

yes, so far I haven't submitted them as git patches because they do not solve our issues yet. the changes so far are in two projects: openSUSE:Factory:ARM/kernel-source the factory kernel with my config changes (staged) and openSUSE:Factory:ARM:Kernel/kernel-source the 12.1 kernel with the same config. The reason for that weirdness is that we have one (binary) kernel that is 3.1.x based with a custom config that is stable. However we haven't found yet if the issue is caused by code changes or by config changes, so I've prepared a 3.1.x based tree (the openSUSE 12.1 kernel matches that) for cross-testing.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up, I missed this. Thanks, Dirk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
