Is it a beaglebone or a beaglebone black board? Did you check the sh256sum of the compressed image (*.raw.xz file)? Is the SD card recognized on a desktop computer? Did you press the boot select switch button on power on as mentionned on this page: https://en.opensuse.org/HCL:BeagleBone_Black ? What returns the 'printenv' command in u-boot? Beagle Bone Black sha256sum openSUSE-13.1-ARM-JeOS-beaglebone.armv7l-1.12.1-Build37.1.raw.xz 32f893361342c7799e4ce54b757dbb41822a11c9705586e78f65a3246b8a3606 No to holding down the boot button, though my board is already set up to read the sd card. However, holding the button made it work. What I didn't realize was that there is an additional installation phase that requires a terminal capable of ncurses. I was using cutecom for the serial connection. It turns out there is a program called "screen" that will handle the serial port. Thanks for your help. BTW as of late I have had the download manager occasionally fail in Firefox. When it fails, it does so blatantly. So I do check the sha. I've also gone to the kde download manager, which has no issues. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
