Re: [opensuse-arm] Re: no HDMI on openSUSE-13.1-ARM-JeOS-beaglebone.armv7l-1.12.1-Build38.9.raw.xz
You said that the system did not boot. So I checked. It boots for me.
There is difference between the first and the sequential boots, so I
checked that it was able to reboot successfully.
HDMI is not related here.

I wrote over the SDHC with a different disty, though I can load opensuse again. But before I do that, I want to be clear what I'm supposed to document.
First I presume this is just with the image, that is, don't upgrade.
So the idea is if I boot twice, the HDMI returns?
So the plan is to load the image, use the ncurses installer, and save whatever is dumped via the serial port while it boots. Then do I use the reboot command? Or do I hit the reset button. Assuming it boots, I then save the serial port dump.
Sorry for the top post, but I'm on a smartphone.

Hi
openSUSE-13.1-ARM-JeOS-beaglebone.armv7l-1.12.1-Build38.9.raw
second-boots fine, just checked. Could you show full log of the first boot?

Otherwise, it boots/runs. I'm going to flog it a bit more.
This image seems to have other problems. I used zypper update, then issued the reboot command. The display on the serial port got to "starting kernel" and just froze there.
I did a reboot by hand (i.e. hold the boot button and apply power). --------------------------------------------- U-Boot 2013.04 (Mar 17 2014 - 15:34:07)

------------------------------ Again, nothing happens. To be sure, I went to the HDMI port, just to see if the display got transferred there, and again, nothing.
At this point, I'm going to halt testing and wait until someone thinks there is an image with HDMI support.
