[opensuse-arm] Hello Rhasberry PI and other armv5/6 users
Our first JeOS armv5 image is built and is downloadable here: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Factory:/ARM/images_armv... please do not be confused by the armv7l in the file name. We will fix that glitch in future. But please test it on some real armv5/6 hardware like the Rhasberry PI. Eager to hear from you :) adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

I have to add, this is just a rootfs. No kernel and boot loader included. So, it does not boot on its own. On the other side, you can just un-tar it and chroot inside ;) -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

After a quick test on a Raspberry Pi model B (armv6), following chroot instructions on: http://en.opensuse.org/HCL:Chroot It seems ok. Guillaume -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

I have meanwhile updated my custom-built bootable image to the latest Factory: http://www.zq1.de/~bernhard/linux/opensuse/raspberrypi-opensuse-20121016.img... and seen Firefox working on it. Next step is to build a clean image in OBS https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=openSUSE%3AFactory%3AARM%3AC... Good to see openSUSE on R.PI. Many thanks for your hard-work, very appreciated. 2012/10/17 Bernhard M. Wiedemann <bernhardout@lsmod.de>:
