[opensuse-arm] ARM and Virtualization
Hi, I know we don't use native builds in obs for security reasons and for not working virtualization (kvm, xen), but I was going through FOSDEM videos and what sounded interesting was OpenVZ presentation and the presenter said that OpenVZ works on ARM already. Do you think that OpenVZ would be enough (regarding security) to connect our ARM devices to the public OBS? Is it worth exploring? Did somebody already tried that? -- Michal Hrusecky <Michal@Hrusecky.net> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

I personally wouldn't deem OpenVZ as secure. A single host kernel bug still allows you to exploit the complete worker. Alex -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

It is not just security, it is also to allow use to support every openSUSE:Factory packager to build also for arm. We think we need this to get ARM as official supported to 12.2. -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
