hi, does the JeOS image for the Rock64 have the feature set of TW's transactional-server role? Namely, auto update, reboot, and rollback-on-error? Or could that be set up later without too much trouble? Or maybe the aarch64 iso/image has the transactional-server role available? if so, does the aarch64 iso or image work for the Rock64? thanks, ITwrx -- ---- --- Information Technology Works on the net: https://ITwrx.org on the fediverse: @ITwrx@blurts.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

You need to look for the MicroOS images, but I think they are currently only available in the devel:kubic:images project.
Or could that be set up later without too much trouble?
No, not possible at all. Either at install time or never.
Or maybe the aarch64 iso/image has the transactional-server role available?
Should be. Thorsten
if so, does the aarch64 iso or image work for the Rock64?
thanks,

What's wrong with "transactional-update pkg install <your packages>"? Thorsten

Thorsten It seems like i was having trouble with that when i tested microOS not too long ago. Not sure, though. Maybe it was me. Maybe i'll try it out again. Thanks.

Thorsten It seems like i was having trouble with that when i tested microOS not too long ago. Not sure, though. Maybe it was me. Maybe i'll try it out again. Thanks. I think it was acting like i had not installed software i had already installed. Maybe it was not applying the new snapshot after software installs and (immediate) subsequent reboots, or maybe it had an error, and rolled back my snapshot. I don't know, and it was the first and only time i've used microOS, so i wasn't feeling capable, nor inclined to
