Hello, I tried to start openSUSE on CuBox as described on http://en.opensuse.org/HCL:CuBox but it does not seem to work. It stops at on the serial console: Loading file "boot/linux.vmx" from mmc device 0:1 (mmcda1) 3899520 bytes read Loading file "boot/initrd.uboot" from mmc device 0:1 (mmcda1) 27179792 bytes read ## Booting kernel from Legacy Image at 02000000 ... Is there a more recent that 12.2 image for CuBox? Bye, CzP -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
I tried to start openSUSE on CuBox as described on http://en.opensuse.org/HCL:CuBox but it does not seem to work.
I recently acquired a CuBox and am interested in working together with others to get openSUSE 12.3 running on it (at least headless). In my view, the best outcome, at least for the beginning, would be to get an openSUSE JeOS image into SolidRun's installer: http://solid-run.com/general/69-the-cubox-installer-%E2%80%93-the-installati... Right now, though, I'm not sure even where to start. Nathan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
I documented what it took to get 12.2 running on cubox here: http://www.solid-run.com/mw/index.php/OpenSUSE Maybe some of the links there could be of some use (particularly building the custom kernel) "Nathan Cutler <presnypreklad@gmail.com>" <presnypreklad@gmail.com> schrieb:

Thanks, Ciaran! I followed your instructions and it works. I have 12.2 running on the Cubox now. (And I see now that 12.3 for Cubox is not ready.) A question: the JeOS image is set up with an "openSUSE-12.2-ARM-Updates" repo at the URI http://download.opensuse.org/ports/armv7hl/update/12.2/ but this URI doesn't exist. Do you know the correct URI? Thanks, Nathan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

I think we'll have to give that some attention. I have a sequence of instructions from Alex which we used to build 12.2. We used a Xilka kernel - maybe we could use whatever the latest version of the Xilka kernel is for 12.3 as well. I know that Cristian had some useful patches (the one for openssl for example) which are now either upstream (in the Xilka kernel) or which we would have to incorporate again. Cristian, did you do anything else with your cubox - any further improvements etc that we could consider dropping into the 12.3? Ciaran
