HoneyComb LX2K - Onboard Ethernet and kernel 5.14+
Hi, Please note that the on-board 1G Ethernet is now supported on the SolidRun HoneyComb LX2K with kernel 5.14 and later. So, openSUSE Tumbleweed supports it since snapshot 20210927 (released yesterday) and upcoming Leap 15.4 will support it as well. Cheers, Guillaume
Hi, I have booted Tumbleweed Snapshot 20210927 yesterday and was happy to notice that as well. After booting up 5.14.6-default, the last big issue appears to be to get the dpmac-Interfaces up. I have tried to use restool with 5.14.6-1-default, but John Nettleton of SolidRun has pointed out to me, that the Kernel has to be compiled with CONFIG_FSL_MC_UAPI_SUPPORT=y in order for them to work. [https://community.solid-run.com/t/restool-with-kernel-5-14-did-not-find-a-de...] Is there a way to achieve that at the moment? (While trying this, I have packaged restool as rpm, if anyone needs that: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:wind.gmbh/restool)

Hi,
I have booted Tumbleweed Snapshot 20210927 yesterday and was happy to notice that as well.
After booting up 5.14.6-default, the last big issue appears to be to get the dpmac- Interfaces up.
I have tried to use restool with 5.14.6-1-default, but John Nettleton of SolidRun has pointed out to me, that the Kernel has to be compiled with CONFIG_FSL_MC_UAPI_SUPPORT=y in order for them to work. [https://community.solid-run.com/t/restool-with-kernel-5-14-did-not-find-a- device-file/175/3]
Is there a way to achieve that at the moment?
Could you open a bug report on Bugzilla.opensuse.org please?
(While trying this, I have packaged restool as rpm, if anyone needs that: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:wind.gmbh/restool)
Would you mind to submit it to an official devel project (such as network:utilities) and then to Tumbleweed? Cheers, Guillaume
Hi Guillaume, thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I did issue both: Bug Report: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1191190 Package submission: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/922384 Have a nice day!
