[opensuse-arm] New 8250 OMAP serial driver (second try)
Hello, Please, test an image from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/matwey:/JeOS-omap-serial/ima... if you have device with OMAP UART. Now, new OMAP driver works for me on BeagleBone Black. Kernel is 4.3.0-rc3-1.gb439548-default. I am going to submit patch switching to new 8250 driver, so please test. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

Tested on Beaglebord xM and console is working. Guillaume -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

It seems your JeOS package is unmodified apart from the added repository, i.e. relying on the ttyO backwards-compatibility option? I don't see any link diff on your kernel-source package in Kernel:omap-serial unfortunately... Why wasn't it working before? If you provide a patch or options to change, I can test on a BeagleBone Black. BTW what is your Kernel:uio-pruss for? I just recently documented in the Wiki how to load the uio_pruss driver. Is it not working for you? And have you played with my gnupru packages already? Cheers, Andreas P.S. Please keep in mind that you're building lots of packages and architectures that you probably don't need to, eating away build power. -- SUSE Linux GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Felix Imendörffer, Jane Smithard, Graham Norton; HRB 21284 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

If you look at the config.tar.bz2 archive, you will see that configs are modified. ;) Guillaume
