[opensuse-arm] Raspberry Pi4 - usb-disk and initrd
Hi, today I installed openSUSE MicroOS on my Rasperry Pi4s with the kernel from Kernel:stable. It seems to work fine (except that only 1GB of memory is detected, which is not enough for Kubernetes ...). But the USB sdcard is only accessible after leaving the initrd, which makes it impossible for ignition to read the configuration file to finalize the image configuration. Any idea which kernel module is missing in the initrd or didn't got loaded? All the usual suspects seems to be there. IIRC, the problem was with u-boot-rpi64 package, but it should be fixed in current release. Matthias, any idea?

You mean you boot from SD but use an USB sd card reader for your config file? Cheers, Guillaume
Thanks, Thorsten

Yes, that should be fixed by now. Can you check your u-boot version against openSUSE:Factory? Especially you will need to have patch [1]

Adding Nicolas, who should know which module we might miss. Regards, Matthias [1] https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file/openSUSE:Factory/u-boot/0025-rp...

After fixing the MicroOS kiwi config, it's working now ;) Thanks to Guillaume for the hint with the corret u-boot package.

Yes, I boot from the micro sd card and the USB stick contains the configuration files. Thorsten
