[opensuse-arm] Newest images for RPi1 and RPi2 are not usable headless
I tried Tumbleweed Build325.1 for RPi1 and Build314.1 for RPi2 in a headless situation, but both do do not end with an active Ethernet connection. Is this to be expected? u-boot problem? -- fr.gr. member openSUSE Freek de Kruijf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

I also tried the newest Build315.1 but this one did not work either. Only Build318.5 for RPi1 and Build308.3 for RPi2 result in a working system. Updating this last one with zypper up ends in a non-working headless system. -- fr.gr. member openSUSE Freek de Kruijf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

u-boot is slow but functionnal. speed problem will be fixed with this request: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/312513 * rpi1 kernel (downstream) is known to be broken (no initrd support in kernel config). I am trying to fix it but switch to GCC version 5 leads to some compilation problem I must solve first. * rpi1 kernel (upstream) seems to hang, but I did not investigate more. * rpi2 kernel seems to have a problem since update from 3.18.9 to 3.18.14: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-arm/2015-06/msg00101.html Guillaume -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
