Dear all, I saw that a lot of noarch doc packages like for example lilypond-doc take extremely long to be build on arm. I wonder if it would be an option to disable these packages on arm and get them build on x86_64? This way the arm distro will be build faster. I see no save and fool proof way to do this as long Factory for x86_64 and arm* is built in two seperate projects ... -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

If you look at: osc repositories openSUSE:Factory:ARM armv5el armv5el armv5el x86_64 images local images armv7l images_armv5 armv5el qemu_accel x86_64 standard armv7l standard x86_64 You can see that standard can be build for both armv7l as x86_64 (and armv5el for both armv5el and x86_64) I think it should be possible to let x86_64 build the noarch doc packages. Regards, Joop. You see both

You need hand-maintained Export filters then. And we would need take care of that when building products later on. Yes, it would be nice to build noarch just once. But with our current OBS implementation it is not that easy to setup. Esp. following the dependency changes. Also the dependency cycle handling and package blocking will not work as it does now. -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
