Hi! The other day I found https://www.raspberrypi.com/news/raspberry-pi-imager-imaging-utility/ It's a handy tool written with Qt to write OS images on an SD card. Someone already packaged it in Factory. openSUSE is missing in the list of downloads though. Anyone up to drive adding openSUSE there? cu Ludwig -- (o_ Ludwig Nussel //\ V_/_ http://www.suse.com/ SUSE Software Solutions Germany GmbH, GF: Ivo Totev HRB 36809 (AG Nürnberg)

Good idea, indeed. I've dropped them a mail already. Should this not be submitted to Leap 154 as well? Cheers Axel

AFAICT the main work would be on openSUSE side to provide a json file that lists available images. Not sure whether a static list would be sufficient. The app itself loads a master list that just references files from other vendors.

You should really submit our update to TW and Leap! Thx Axel

Yeah, there was some kind of error, so it ended up in the mailman "shunt" queue. I was investigating some other mailman issues and decided to release a lot of "shunted" emails, even though some were quite old. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (10.3°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes.

Let me share the reply: -- The builds on the downloads pages are supported by Raspberry Pi directly. We do this to make sure all those releases are up to date and current. But as you can see from that page, your download is seven months out of date... This is why we won't add others (AppImage, Flatpak or snaps for example that other people provide but don't really support) -- Cheers Axel

Ic. Misunderstanding. I was more interested in getting the openSUSE image into the downloads offered by rpi-imager. Ie you can right now install rpi-imager in TW but only to put all kinds of debian derivatives on your sd card. No openSUSE offered. cu Ludwig -- (o_ Ludwig Nussel //\ V_/_ http://www.suse.com/ SUSE Software Solutions Germany GmbH, GF: Ivo Totev HRB 36809 (AG Nürnberg)

Hm. Obviously it is better if the thread starter runs the communication.... https://github.com/raspberrypi/rpi-imager/issues may be the place for this Cheers Axel
