[opensuse-arm] login problem on serial fixed (workarounded)
Hi, for people having problems to login through serial, just remove plymouth: zypper rm plymouth reboot and then your serial backs to normal. I have no idea why but it does fix it. Should we remove plymouth from JeOS/XFCE images? Guillaume -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

What exact plymouth version are you using and in what machine ? plymouth is supposed to either do nothing in serial consoles o just display boot progress as text. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

and regenerate the initrd.. I've noticed the same problem, also that it is only somehow a problem after the 1st boot (so the kiwi generated initrd is still fine), and that plymouthd is stuck in read from the serial console even after it should have been long dead.

Yeah, I've removed it now. Greetings, Dirk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
