[opensuse-arm] Speed up devel:libraries:c_c++ armv7 building
Hi, I couple of armv7 packages that depends on libraries on devel:libraries:c_c++ are blocked because package building is progressing very slowly. Almost 48 hours later and only 25 of 187 packages have been built so far. aarch64 had all of the packages built in less than 24 hours. What can be done to speed it up? Thanks! -- Cheers -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

First, a difference between aarch64 and armv7l is that aarch64 is built in QEMU on x86_64, and armv7l is built natively. We cannot mix native and emulated builds today, so... * Contribute more KVM-compatible ARMv7/v8 build machines to OBS * Fix instabilities of current ARMv7 build machines in OBS => Availability of build machines would streamline builds overall. * For devel:libaries:c_c++ openSUSE_Factory_ARM repo use block="local", cf. https://build.opensuse.org/project/meta/Virtualization => This will avoid devel:libaries:c_c++ packages being blocked by packages not yet rebuilt in Factory. Hi Oscar,
What can be done to speed it up?
We had lost quite a bit of build power over christmas, which has been restored today. Should become better soonish. Greetings, Dirk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
