[opensuse-arm] Latest 13.1 JeOS image for Chromebook broken
Hi, the image openSUSE-13.1-ARM-JeOS-chromebook.armv7l-1.12.1-Build15.1 from [1] is broken. It does not even show a bootloader prompt or something, the Chromebook just falls back to the white screen (the one that expects Ctrl-U to boot from SD). Something I could try? [1] http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/ARM:/13.1:/Contrib:/Chromeb... There are 3 potential reasons for this breakage: 1) Broken partition table 2) Broken signature 3) Broken u-boot binary Could you please try to redo each of these manually based on the script at https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file/openSUSE:13.1:Ports/JeOS/uboot-... If that doesn't help, please try to replace bits and pieces with known-good versions (12.3) and check which piece of the puzzle did fall apart. Then we can concentrate on fixing that one. Thanks a lot for helping out with the Chromebook image! Alex -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
Hi, Just tried JeOS-chromebook and it does not boot here either. No time to make more tests ATM. Daniel, did you find something to fix the boot? Guillaume Le 18/11/2013 21:34, Alexander Graf a écrit :

sorry, no. I tried, but failed miserably to install a working build environment using osc. I got all sorts of errors, binfmt_misc-related in particular. I definitely need some sort of tutorial to get started.
