[opensuse-arm] Latest Raspi JeOS image
Hi, I'm trying to use openSUSE-13.2-ARM-JeOS-raspberrypi.armv6l-1.12.1-Build36.2.raw.xz from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/ARM:/13.2:/Contrib:/Raspber..., write to SD card with xzcat as described in HCL:Raspberry_Pi Is this a working image file? For me, the boot process hangs at "Loading kernel" (no progress after several minutes) Same hardware (including same SD card) boots raspian 2014-12-24 version perfectly. FWIW it's an early model B (type 0002) My image file (.raw.xz) has md5sum f61450a3eb30ff5419463d153271fe0c, but I can't find an expected sum to compare with. Also, xzcat reports no issues when copying to SD card. If this image file is no good, can someone point me to the last good one? Many thanks Richard (MQ) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org

I used with success: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/ARM:/Factory:/Contrib:/Rasp... I don't know any details about the repo structure details though. Ciao, Michael.

Hi, Richard. With the OS-Version Build36.2 as you mentionned above, I had no problems to put it on a stick. Monitor was a HDMI-type- Also "firstboot" executed correctly. With YAST I configured root-PW. language, keyboard. After a reboot I used YAST2 again in order to configure the static IP etc, as I was familiar wirh the "standard" OS-Versions since 20 years. Further infos I found in the paper "HCL:Raspberry Pi". Also I installed my favorite Midnight-Commander. Open problems (my be others to come in the future): 1. Unable to open X-Window 2. could not adjust a standard FBAS-Terminal, as I offen intend to use a 7"-Monitor in text-mode (with debian-squeeze configuration was done in "/boot/conf.txt) 3. When closing with "poweroff" or "shutdown -h now" system restarted. Wish you all the best and good luck Edgar, DJ3PU, Munich -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
