Well I can't see a broken release being much use. I don't know who here is factory and who is community, but I'm assuming someone who understands the system will submit the bug report.
Not all Beagleboard XMs are as bad as the one I have. The patch fixes the USB problem to my satisfation. If everyone (as in the decision makers) is satisfied with that, then just incorporate the patch. However, I'm eventually going to use my board as a controller and can't be testing software on it. If someone from Suse wants to swap boards just to have a "problem" board at hand, let me know sooner than later. The author of the patch had to do a such as swap to develop the patch. For a while it was thought that the problem was insufficient bypass capacitance until Texas Instruments admitted the chip problem.
Since you already verified that the fix does indeed fix the problem at hand, I think we can just add it to the source tree. Alex -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
