Hi guys,
I just learned from Peter that the AArch64 (armv8) port of gcc went public:
http://old.nabble.com/-AARCH64---PATCH-0-3--AArch64-Port-td33907309.html
This doesn't mean we can compile aarch64 code yet, as we're still lacking binutils to generate binary output from the assembly, but we're getting closer.
And what is the qemu state for armv8 ?
The opcode spec isn't out yet (hence the missing binutils), so we wouldn't know what to implement :). However, he just told me that apparently RH and Canonical are also interested in a QEMU port for armv8, so we might be able to get one rolling reasonably timely after the spec gets available.
