Someone have advice to let the monitor hdmi work correctly?
First of all, thanks Sebastian for your answer.
if you havn't connected or disabled keyboard/mouse the beagle will go into powersaving which also disables hdmi. try connecting the monitor and do
echo 0 > /sys/class/graphics/fb0/blank
I've tried, but no changes.
otherwise, many people have reported issues with hdmi on the beaglebone:

see also tested aka supported monitors:

I read this links, and I found interesting but 1) I don't understand the reason to ask a power supply grounded (there is no ground on board plug) and that have to be the same ground of the monitor. 2) My monitor it's a common LG 42'' inches TV. I don't think that the problem is the cable or the power adapter and not the screen too. I think in that way because the same board, with the same cable, with the same power adapter, on the same TV, but with a different OS (Fedora 20) was able to show on screen KDE 4 (slow, sure, but visible).
I don't know if is a software problem, and if other guys have their beaglebone black up & running with HDMI working, I have to think that is a mixed issue (hw & sw).
Anyway, any advice or user experience are welcome. Thanks in advance regards Alexjan

I've got a BBB and am downloading the file at the moment. My board has run opensuse JEOS in the past so this should be a good test. [Given my limited skill set, this is about all I can do to contribute. ;-) ]
I noticed there is no sha256 for the XFCE disty. Maybe the file isn't good.
FWIW, my HDMI cable is plugged into a DVI converter and KVM before going to my monitor. I doubt it makes a difference, but when you chase bugs, you need to be specific.
I'm on DSL so see ya in a few hours.
I can confirm there is no graphics on the HDMI port as the original poster indicated. The OS seems to work OK on the serial port. Maybe a bit sluggish as compared to ubuntu on the built in flash, but that is just an impression, i.e. nothing scientific. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
