That's what i did, but i'll try it again. I didn't get any errors when writing the image. This time, i'll wipe the sd card and create one fat partition, just to be on the safe side. > Do you have usb rs232 ttl converter to attach the Rock64 console? Do you see anything else next? no. That's where it stops, unfortunately. I guess i could try the ALARM install process and see if it stops at the same point, in which case maybe it's an hardware issue. For me, the output looks like. (My testing board is 2GB, but I successfully use 4GB also)

Well, maybe something is still wrong with U-boot (It is known to be not quite stable for Rock64 at the time of 2019.10 release).
Could you try this section? https://en.opensuse.org/HCL:Rock64#Using_proprietary_TPL_bootloader
If the proprietary boot-loader works, then the issue should be reported to u-boot maillist.
It booted the first time after installing the proprietary bootloader, and got all the way to the login prompt, but at that point showed some btrfs filesystem error, and i was unable to login or connect via ssh. I
Could you please try another microsd card? There should be no any btrfs errors on brand new JeOS image.
rewrote the files to the sd card (and another card) and now it boots but keeps failing to get to the login prompt with different sd card/filesystem related errors, with the latest round of errors (these have been the same the last few times i've tried it) pasted here: https://pastebin.com/QBrR3KsL
I have not had any problems with these sd cards otherwise. Is there any specific preparation i should do before rewriting the files to the sd card to try again?
btw, my board says "Rock64 v2.0 2017-0713".
thanks
