Hello,
the last Tumbleweed image[1] of Raspberry Pi 3 fails to boot with the message:
[ 5.646965] Initramfs unpacking failed: write error
That sounds like the initrd grew too big? Can you check out the initrd on the image with lsinitrd and see if you can find new files that might have caused this?

I just tried openSUSE-Tumbleweed-ARM-JeOS-raspberrypi3.aarch64-2017.12.04-Build4.5.raw.xz from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/ARM:/Factory:/Contrib:/ RaspberryPi3/images No problems booting this image. Do not update kernel-default to 4.14.1-1.3, this gives problems with DMA (buffer full). -- fr.gr.
