Hi,
I tried to rsync some Gigabytes of files to my NanoPi NEO and suddenly it stopped working: It had run really hot. Do we have some kind of CPU heat- or frequency-control available?
A heatsink? :-) Cut a 10x10mm bit of an old heatsink and stick it on, that'll do the trick. At leats on my two nano pi neo air.
You'are absolutely right to ask about a heatsink, but actually I have even the "official" nanopi heatsinks attached to it - and of course we will have another warm day today (up to 36° C here in Wuppertal). What I thought about was a tool like "sensors", which says it couldn't detect any sensors on the nanopi neo. In the fine manual http://wiki.friendlyarm.com/wiki/index.php/NanoPi_NEO they use a command called "cpu_freq", but they run debian/ubuntu and I can't find anything similar for OpenSuse.
