There are several ways. The easiest way is probably like follows: Insert your SD card in a "normal" openSUSE system. Start the partition manager in YaST. Select the root partition on the SD card and right click on it. Select Edit and you can expand the root partition, provided the space after the root partition is not occupied. You may also put a swap partition on the SD card. -- fr.gr.
