[opensuse-announce] openSUSE 11.2 has reached end of openSUSE maintenance support - Evergreen goes on
Hi, With the release of a kdelibs4 security fix on Thursday 12th of May the SUSE Security Team has released the last update for openSUSE 11.2. openSUSE 11.2 is now officially discontinued and out of support by SUSE. However the openSUSE Evergreen community effort is going to continue the openSUSE 11.2 maintenance similar to 11.1. The overview page of this project, how to activate and use it, and other details, is on: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Evergreen The Evergreen project is lead by openSUSE community member Wolfgang Rosenauer. openSUSE 11.2 was the first openSUSE distribution lead by a community maintenance team. The team is currently driven by SUSE employees Christian Dengler and Marcus Meissner mostly, and operate under the. the maintenance@opensuse.org alias. We have released 172 recommened (bugfix) updates for openSUSE 11.2. These updates fixed a total of 354 unique bugs. We could not have worked with YOU! - All bugreporter telling us about bugs - All packagers that submitted fixes - and of course the SUSE build team lead by Rudi Oertel. Thank you!
