[opensuse-announce] openSUSE KDE Team Meeting - Thursday 10th June, 1600UTC

The next openSUSE KDE Team meeting will be held today, Thursday 10th June, at 16:00 UTC. The current list of scheduled topics is: * old action items *review KDE defaults on 11.3 (mime types especially, the screensaver, Nepomuk (bug#575149)) ** Who wants to open torrents with KGet or iso files with Ark? :-) Amarok's .desktop file has a "InitialPreference" to ensure it's the default app for the types it supports, but Kaffeine doesn't ** Progress regarding font rendering on Konqueror ** InitialPreference system is broken. If/once Amarok starts supporting video you can't set Amarok as the default audio player and Kaffeine as the default video player since both support audio and video. mimeapps.list can't be used because also has effect on Gnome. Add extra, KDE-specific, mimeapps.list file? evaluate increased visibility in general kde community * conclusion of repository reorganization * Is openSUSE/KDE doing anything regarding the dbus thread bug? (see [1] for patch+bug reports) * openSUSE KDE Netbook edition - (https://features.opensuse.org/308401) should we make it easier to select plasma-netbook in 11.3 (AJaeger) * discuss the posibility of building KDE Unstable Live CDs from time to time (helps testing KDE, increases openSUSE/KDE visibility; on the other hand, it requires some resources). * status report * Q&A, misc Further items are welcome; please add them http://en.opensuse.org/KDE/Meetings Please use http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?day=10&month=6&year=2010&hour=16&min=0&sec=0&p1=0| to get the time of the meeting in your time zone.
