[opensuse-announce] OpenOffice_org 3.0-alpha available
Hi, I’m happy to announce that the first OpenOffice.org 3.0 alpha packages are available in the Build Service OpenOffice.org:UNSTABLE project. Unfortunately, the build has succeeded only on openSUSE 10.3, 11.0 and Factory-i586. You might expect the build for openSUSE-10.2, SLED10 and Factory-x86_64 with the next alpha (within 2-3 weeks). The package version is 2.99.21. It is based on the upstream dev300-m21 milestone. IMPORTANT: It is an alpha version and might include even serious bugs. It is intended for enthusiasts and beta testers. We will be happy if you could try it and report bugs. See below for the known bugs. The packages with localizations are renamed from OpenOffice_org-<lang> to OpenOffice_org-l10n-<lang>. Also the localized help content is split into the optional OpenOffice_org-help-<lang> packages. Finally, the American localization is split into extra packages.
