openSUSE at LinuxTag 2006 The LinuxTag[1] is the world's No. 1 Linux Expo and Conference since 1996. LinuxTag 2006 is presented in cooperation with the German Unix Users Group (GUUG) on May 3-6, 2006, in the Rhein-Main-Hallen, Wiesbaden. The openSUSE project will be present at the Novell booth (Booth Number 918) in the general exhibition area. On that booth there will be a openSUSE and a SUSE Linux counter. We will also have our own sub-conference, the openSUSE Day, on Thursday, May 4 2006. You find a schedule for the openSUSE Day at the LinuxTag webpage[2]. We are still looking for speakers and booth duty volunteers from the openSUSE community. If you want to present a talk in the openSUSE Day track, or spend a few hours at the openSUSE counter at our booth, please add yourself to the Staff page[3] in the opensuse.org wiki. * Novell/SUSE Human Resources staff at the Novell booth On Thursday, May 4 and Friday, May 5 Ulrike Friedrich and Nadine Pieper from the human resources department will be present at the booth to answer any questions potential applicants may have. This offer is especially targeted at students who consider an internship or diploma thesis contract at the SUSE research and development department in Nuremberg. * Packaging Event You want to package your software for various distributions ? We can offer you help and guidance for your first package using the openSUSE Build Service. We are there to help with open issues and packaging questions. This event takes place as part of the openSUSE Day track on Thursday, May 4, at 5pm. We're looking forward to meeting you at LinuxTag! kind regards, your openSUSE team References: [1] http://www.linuxtag.org/ [2] http://www.linuxtag.org/2006/de/besucher/programm/freies-vortragsprogramm/do...
