Mike, I loaded SuSE 9.1 PRO on non-RAID SATA drives straight off of the DVD. No fuss, no muss. It was a beautiful thing. My only issue turned out to be the USB keyboard and mouse that I was using, that wasn't supported for install, but is a problem free now that the system is up. -Alain. -----Original Message----- From: Mike [mailto:mikedl@comcast.net] Sent: Monday, October 04, 2004 7:39 PM To: suse-amd64@suse.com Subject: [suse-amd64] ABIT AV8 Hi. I've got a new AMD 3500 -based system on the way, hopefully this week. It will have an ABIT AV8 mainboard http://www.linuxhardware.org/article.pl?sid=04/10/01/1432245 I've had some experience with AMD64 on plain ATA133 drives, but this box is configured with 2 SATA drives configured as a RAID 0 array using the (software?) raid support provided by the motherboard. I've been trying to figure out what I've got to do in order to install SuSE pro (I wish 9.2 was out) on it. I understand SATA can be problematic, and SATA RAID configurations seem practically undocumented. Has anyone experience with this combination that they could share?
