Suse 9.1 Professional x86-64 reboot if memory more than 4G on Iwill DK8X .
Dear All, Did you meet this issue on any other mother board ??? The system configuration is : OS : Suse 9.1 Professional x86_64 (original kernel ) MB : Iwill DK8X AMD64 platform (8111+8151+8131) Memory : 1G DDR400 Reg/ECC (Samsung chipset ) x 8 pcs CPU : AMD Opteron 248 or 246 Video: PNY Nvidia Quadro FX 3000 or FX 1100 The situation is : After OS installation finishs first step and requests reboot system , the system reboot then OS boot linux from Hard disk . But after that ,OS reboot immediately. I can't process installation any more . If I make memory under 4GB, the system can be install completely. This issue seem to also occur on Suse 9.0 Professional AMD64 and can be fixed by upgrading kernel. How about the Suse 9.1 Professional or Kernel 2.6.x ??
