Well In mean time to getting reply to this I went into yast2 from command line an looking around in the monitor/card ect I notice that 3d accellerator was enabled. not sure why it was since I did not set it up that way an I disabled it an its working now. Since I do not play games I do not need it anyway. thanks to all who might have replied to this. jack More info I'm running an nvidia card, ( forgit the model off the top of head) I installed the new nvidia stuff off of yast2 online update before I exit out of xwindows. I got suse 9.1 up an running last week. Today i log out of xwin an do some things from the commandline an switch users an then go back to other user an run startx. it will not start I get fatal server error: no screens found. How can i get it running again. thanks jack
