Hi, I've been trying to puzzle this out on my own, but am still stumped. My Mozilla is not able to load either the Helix plugin or the Flashplayer plugin. I'm using SuSE Professional 9.1 AMD64. leopardi@linfinit:~> rpm -q mozilla mozilla-1.6-74.14 leopardi@linfinit:~> rpm -q flash-player flash-player-6.0.81-2 leopardi@linfinit:~> rpm -q RealPlayer RealPlayer-10.0.0.297-20040730 I can sort-of-understand that RealPlayer-Helix could be a problem, since it was released after SuSE 9.1, and the RPM is really for Red Hat/Fedora. The problem is with Flashplayer. This is a SUSE RPM and it should just work. It is my understanding that both of those pluggins are 32bit and won't work with a 64bit mozilla. I understand that you can install the 32bit mozilla on a 64bit machine and they will work. I haven't personally tried it. Check the December archives for a thread with the subject '64-bit Firefox and Java plugin' for more info. Doug
Doug, Yeah, that was it. The 32-bit version works. Which makes me wonder why SuSE packaged the 64-bit version in the first place. Does anyone need a 64-bit version of Mozilla where plugins don't work? Best regards On Friday 24 December 2004 04:35, Doug B wrote:
