Re: [suse-amd64] Quake 3 Install Problem
Mark, Thanks for the help, your suggestion worked! Thanks, Kevin On Fri, 29 Oct 2004 10:59:34 -0500, Langsdorf, Mark <mark.langsdorf@amd.com> wrote:
The install script is checking the architecture name, and getting confused because it doesn't recognize x86_64, only i386.
Assuming the install command is normally `./install.sh`, run:
linux32 ./install.sh
linux32 will tell the install script that the machine is i386 and all will be well.

I've been attempting to install quake3 on my amd64 box but receive the follow error message when I run the install script:
"This installation doesn't support glibc-2.1 on Linux / x86_64 (tried to run setup) Please contact Id software technical support at bugs@idsoftware.com, or ttimo@idsoftware.com The setup program seems to have failed on x86_64/glibc-2.1"
Has anyone else run into this problem and know of a workaround? I'm running suse 9.1 for amd64, with the latest nvidia drivers installed.
