64 with Personal version or professional only?
Sorry if this is a covered question, I couldn't find anything in any of the FAQ's about this. The SuSE site says that the professional version will take advantage of a 64 bit chip but makes no mention of if the personal edition does as well? Thanks. -- Sworn to avenge. Condemned To Hell

Personal doesn't include 64bit. Also 9.2 has only Professional, no Personal anymore. -Andi
http://www.suse.com/us/private/products/suse_linux/prof/pricing.html doesn't mention France, is there a shop or webshop where I can buy the update from 9.1 to 9.2 from and delivered to France ? English version is prefered, I have one 32bit and one 64bit machine to update. Thanks in advance, Laurent On Wed, 2004-11-17 at 12:59, Andi Kleen wrote:

See http://www.suse.de/en/company/resellers/europe/france/index.html I don't know if they have English versions though. The software is always the same, just the printed books are different. -Andi
Thanks Andi, I followed all the links on the page, and only one seemed to lead to a readable website where SuSE 9.2 was easily found in various versions including the one I was looking for: <http://www.mcd2-diff.fr/>. They answered my email on the spot and I should get my box by monday :). Laurent On Thu, 2004-11-18 at 21:18, Andi Kleen wrote:

If you are speaking of 9.2, there is no such thing as a personal anymore, instead there is a liveCD, which only makes use of 32bit.
Thanks.
