I am trying to set up a large Ext3 file system on a dual opteron box with Suse 9.1 x86-64 Professional. I use the yast2 - system - partitioner to do that.

From the Partitioner display, I have a 4.0 TB storage. But after formatting it as an Ext3 file system, it is shown as a 1.6TB to the df command.

If I format it as a ReiserFS, df shows correctly as a 4.0TB file system. Why ext3 shows 1.6TB and not 4.0TB? Thank you.
