Hi list & SUSE! Why there is no MPlayer in the 64bit installation? I finally installed the one from suse/i586 directory, but there was a lot of dependency problems. I'm pretty fine with the 32bit one, but had to deinstall some 64bit packages and instead install their 32bit equivallents (e.g. libdv.rpm). If there was suse/x86-64/libdv-32bit.rpm things would be easier. (BTW libdv wasn't the only conflicting package). Just a suggestion for next versions :) Giovanni

There's a complete discussion of the issues in the Suse-E list early last week, should be available in the archive lists.suse.com Scott -- POPFile, the OpenSource EMail Classifier http://popfile.sourceforge.net/ Linux 2.6.5-7.111-default x86_64

Which version? You can get it at my apt repository, http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/suser-jmorris/ for 9.1 and 9.2. IIRC all the dependencies should be there if not on the DVD. BTW, I only have 9.2 now so there are only those 9.1 rpms that are there (sorry, I deleted a bunch after I upgraded). -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Registered Linux user 231871

Great. Thanks for the link and the work on the lot rpm's :-) I think I post that to suse-linux, the german list. There are many people looking for 64bit multimedia stuff. Some other SuSE 64bit rpm's are ready now on: http://packman.links2linux.de/ Best way is this link (for 9.2 here), in YAST for create new FTP Install-Source: ftp://packman.iu-bremen.de/suse/9.2/directory.yast -- Ciao Marco, registered GNU/Linux-User 313353
