I am using SuSE 9.0 but it didn't pick up my modems on both the laptop and desktop. I've searched the many Linux modems sites but couldn't find drivers for the following chipsets: - Intel 82801 CA/CAM'97 Modem Controller (on a Sony VAIO PCG-V505BL) - Broadcom Corp BCM v.90 56k modem (on a Gateway, possibly a "Palmer" modem custom-made for Gateway) If anyone has had experience with either of these, or know of a driver that might work, please let me know. Thanks, Daithi -- ___________________________________________________ Check out the latest SMS services @ http://www.operamail.com, which allows you to send SMS through your mailbox. I'm assuming you mean 9.0/AMD64 here.

At least the first is a "WinModem". I'm not 100% sure about the second, but it sounds like one too. For WinModems you are out of luck on 64bit currently, because there are no free drivers and AFAIK nobody has released binary only 64bit winmodem drivers yet. -Andi
