Machine doesn't switch off

Hello, my machine ("AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+", SuSE 9.1, Mainbord "FUJITSU SIEMENS D1607") doesn't switch off when I shut down the system. Any ideas? Greetings, Achim

Hi Achim I have the same problem with SuSE 9.0 and with Windows XP 64-bit, however it works with Knoppix. I have the same Fujitsu-Siemens board, so I assume it has to do with the board that it more sensitive to how it is shut down by the operating system. Hi - no ideas, sorry, only one more information (same machine as above): I had to run the machine on 32 bits for a while (network didn't work, see this list). Under 32bit the machine was switched off. Now with 64bit machine does not switch off, so it seems to be a 64bit problem. Maybe that helps...
