uml-install-suse broken under amd64?
Hello, I am running SUSE 8.2 beta9 x86-64 with a single opteron 242 and 512mb of ram. I am interested in using this as a host machine for running multiple UML (user mode linux) virtual machines. When I run /usr/bin/uml-install-suse to create a root fs (using the 32 bit release of suse 8.2 as the source media) it creates a root file system that crashes when I try to run it under user mode linux. Before I go into a lot of detail I'd just like to ask if anyone else out there has used uml-install-suse under x86-64 successfully or not. Once this is working I will be interested to see if it possible to run a *64* bit version of the kernel under UML, but for now I am trying to keep it simple. NOTE: UML *does* seem to work ok under x86-64 host for the standard downloadable filesystem from the UML site. It is just the file system created by uml-install-suse under x86-64 that seems to have problems. Regards, Sheb
