Problem installing 8.2 beta 9 on IBM e325
Hi, we recently got an Ibm eserver 325 with two Amd 242 and 2 GB ram (4x512MB in recommended slots according to the documentation) for testing purposes, and tried to install 8.2 beta 9. We face the same problem that was exposed on the list some time ago (Aug 1st) : After having read the 1st CD, the system tries to reboot, before reading other CDs. But the machine never goes so far. We end with an empty screen just after 'Loading linux.............' (lilo display). We tried too with failsafe, and end with the same message : Starting kswapd bigpage subsystem: allocated 0 bigpages (=0MB) Same thing with grub. Does anybody encountered the same problem, or have an idea about what is going on ? No, not directly.
