I am not able to get vncserver or Xvnc working under beta 9. Xvnc exits with a segmentation violation.
Config: single 242 cpu, 512 mb ram, K8D Master mb.
Is it working for anyone else?
No, it's not. But it will be working in the next distribution. But it should be possible to use the 32bit (i386)-package. (I never tested that with 8.2)
Who is doing the work? There is still http://xprint.mozdev.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=4553 which needs to be fixed . Maybe we are lucky and a port of the patch for Xvnc will cure the AMD64 problems in the xprint.mozdev.org, too.
Not sure what exactly you're asking for here, but SuSE 9.0/AMD64 is shipping and it has working VNC as far as I know.
I am asking for the patch which added the AMD64 support to the Xvnc CVS. Or is Xvnc now being build from the same CVS as Xfree? ______________________________________________________________________________ Horoskop, Comics, VIPs, Wetter, Sport und Lotto im WEB.DE Screensaver1.2 Kostenlos downloaden: http://screensaver.web.de/?mc=021110

It uses tightvnc which has a different code base. -Andi

Xvnc is build from the same source but I don't remember what exactly was needed as patch. And your question regarding xprint: Copy the files from XFree86 CVS over to xprint.
