capturing stack dump

Hello, Running Suse 9.1 64 bit on Dual Opterons with 8 gigs of ram. We are getting a stack dump to the terminal during boot-up and we want to find a dump file or make the dump write to disk for later inspection. We can boot the server with less ram so we are able to get a dump file if one were to exist. The goal is to try to determine if the memory is bad (replaced the dimms, so it doesn't appear to be memory) or if one of the CPU's is *bad* and only becomes apparent when interacting with the extra memory. Any advice as to how to create and find stack dump file is most welcome. Thank you, James
