AFAIK some Fedora Core kernel versions support RDTSC synchronization between different CPUs of server. It's good for some micro-benchmarks runs - in the case of using RDTSC-based timers. Sorry, what is known about RDTSC synchronization between CPUs/cores in SuSE 10.x SMP kernels ? Yours Mikhail Kuzminsky Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry Moscow

I believe all recent kernels, 2.4 and up, attempt to do this by default. I'm not sure if I would trust it much myself. Mark
