ASUS SK8V Memory config on suse 9.1 a bit off topic
Hi My tyan s2850 mobo died (broken keyboard connector) so I bought a asus sk8v. I works fine on 9.1 but I would like to add 2 2g memory sticks to my 2 1g kvr333x72rc25/1gb sticks. Questions are: anyone running 6gb on this mobo? If no any issues with 4gb systems Thanx Robert (Bob) L. AFAIK most 1 CPU AMD64 motherboards do not handle 2 GB memory banks. I would look at the Asus web side to see whether it works. Those motherboards are sold to support up to 4GB only. There are no issues from the software side but the hardware side should be investigated, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj SUSE Linux AG, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
