Can anyone asnwer the original Question? Is there a beta program planned for 9.2? If so how does one apply? They have a beta program yes
If so how does one apply?
You can try to beg/pray, but my bet is that beta-testers is selected very carefully
Does anyone know what the BASE kernel for 9.2 will be? 2.6.5? 2.6.9?
Watch their site for the latest news ... but some mentioned a 2.6.8 and of course SuSiFied as always ;-)

Yes, I can answer that.

We do have a small closed beta program - and that one is just over. Participation in the beta program is by invitation. The press release mentions that we use 2.6.8 as base kernel - 2.6.9 is not released yet.
