Hi! There are 4 IDE-conectors on my mainboard. Thw first two are normaly! But the others are for a raid! Can I use this two conectors for may CD-R/RW? If I conect a cd-r oder cd-rw to the thrid or fourth conector, it isnt found by the system! What is the problem? regards Jan

At least in my system documentation (Asus SK8V deluxe) is noticed that the Raid connectors can only handle harddisks. Those raids are really software raids, the Linux kernel has to do the raid on it.
