hello, i tried to install suse 9.1 pro (official CDs/DVDs) on a SunFire v20z (bi opteron), but there is no DVD drive, not even an IDE connector, ... and it seems that 64bit installation can only be done with the DVD included. i try to boot from 32bit CD and start a network install from a FTP server with 64bit DVD contents : it returns an error message after loading ramdisk. i don't have this problem when i try to install the 32bit DVD contents with the same procedure. i can't find a 64 bit-specific boot disk except the DVD itself. any ideas ? thanks, paul.
sure, here is a 64b boot.iso: http://suse.oregonstate.edu/suse/x86_64/9.1/boot/boot.iso works fine :-) -- michael On Wed, 30 Jun 2004, IntegraGen wrote:
